The Kona Coast is the heart of coffee country on the Island of Hawaii. This beautiful, tropical region on the slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa is home to 650 coffee farms where the plants are grown and cultivated, and you can sample the bold flavors of Kona coffee.
Tour the coffee farms and plantations along 20 miles of scenic roads along the mountain and volcano slopes of the Kona Coast. Walk through the Kona coffee farms and fields and see the harvesting and processing - from drying to roasting.
Walking tours last between 30 minutes and two hours and usually end with a free tasting of fresh, organic Kona coffee. Most coffee farms also offer stores where you can buy Kona coffee. Hawaii has a year-round coffee growing cycle and tours are offered year-round.
